Project Heat Pump is a product of Clean Power Research. We've been working with utilities and in the solar industry for over 25 years. With the challenges posed by electrification and the changing climate, we wanted to make something that would bring clarity to the confusion around heat pumps and HVAC in general.
Here are a few of the key team members working on Project Heat Pump.
Tom is the Founder and Chief Research Officer of Clean Power Research. He developed the Virtual Energy Audit analytical method and holds a number of patents in the area of PV fleet power estimation and building performance assessment. Tom’s passion for innovation in the area of clean energy system analysis has made him a sought-after industry speaker and consultant for the PV industry, and he has published extensively for more than 35 years.
Brittany specializes in utilizing utility, public, and weather data sets to develop actionable insights for energy utilities and their customers. Brittany holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Max is a product manager with a background in mechanical engineering. He has spent the last 10 years working for a cleaner planet through practical energy efficiency and cost-effective renewable power generation. When he's not talking up heat pumps and calculating design loads, Max is an indoor cat, enjoying board games with his family at their home in Burien, WA.
Greg Nettleton, Business Development Manager, has worked alongside the HVAC industry for over 20 years, through roles in weatherization, home performance and Energy Star homes. He holds certifications through the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and the National Comfort Institute (NCI) and has previously served as a RESNET HERS Rater Trainer and Quality Assurance Designee. Greg resides in Austin, Texas with his family and dog, Georgia.

Although Clean Power Research has worked utilities for decades, this is our first entry into the HVAC industry. We're getting to know the challenges that installers face and working to bring features to our product that will ease those burdens.
